HEROES

One of the most important thing a player should know when playing Mobile Legends is learning the different types of hero roles. That's because every hero has a specific role (sometimes even more) depending on its skills and abilities.
There are six hero roles in Mobile Legends; the Fighter, Assassin, Mage, Marksman, Support and Tank. Each of these roles has their own set of duties in-game, and each team will need a to strike a balanced combination of roles to create a strong team composition to ensure they have the highest chances of winning every game.

TANK

Tanks are durable, front-line champions that help lock down enemies and start fights. They're usually found leading the charge, choosing the right ti

mes and situations to initiate aggression. Many tanks can also protect their more fragile teammates by stunning or pushing around dangerous foes and limiting their damage potential. In mobile legends most classes of heroes are really versatile in terms of abilities and with the item crafting variations a "tank" can be played as a dps if you choose the right equipment. Usually, tanks are laning on the bottom tower. Tank has high defense and Hp, but low damage.

 

TRIVIA

• 3 of the tanks have Season Exclusive skins: Minotaur, Hilda, and Franco.

Hilda and Lolita are the only female tank heroes in the game.

• The latter is the smallest Tank hero in the game.
• Grock is the largest hero in the game for the fact that he is a titan.
  • Unfortunately, he isn't one of the heroes with the highest HP in the game.
  • His weapon, however, is the largest used in the game.
• Gatotkaca is the only tank who is a legendary figure.
• Uranus and Kaja are the only tanks who are heavenly figures.
  • The former has the highest hero HP while the latter has the lowest HP of all tank heroes in the game.
    • This shall be the answer to a MLBB Quiz question rather than Hylos who has the 2nd highest HP.
• Grock, Hylos, Uranus and Kaja are the only tanks who are banned from Mayhem Mode.
• All of Tigreal and Gatotkaca's skills have CC ability.
• Hylos and Minotaur are the only heroes based on the Ancient Greek mythological figures.
• There are only 3 Tank/Support Hybrid heroes in the game.
  • They are Lolita, Minotaur, and Kaja.
  • Noticed Kaja's weapon is a whiplash and others have a hammer.
  • Lolita and Kaja can give any allied hero with a shield while Minotaur can heal himself and nearby allied heroes.
• Despite Franco being a Tank, his icon is Fighter icon.
  • Franco used to be a Fighter with different animation skills, but his role was purely changed into a Tank as of Season 3.
• Balmond and Hilda are only Fighter/Tank Hybrid Class heroes can heal themselves but other ways to heal. The only other hero is Alpha.
  • Balmond should heal when killing the minion or hero while Hilda should heal herself in the bush.

ASSASSIN​

 An assassin is an agile champion that specializes in killing or disabling roaming targets picking them of as they try to replenish HP. Focused on infiltration, deception, and mobility,assassins are opportunistic hunters who find favorable moments within a fight before jumping into the fray. Regardless of the size of the enemy team, assassins specialize in positioning and artful killing. They strike when the time is right – no sooner, no later. Assassins are more suitable to be played by experienced players as they have low HP and high burst of damage they are ideal to take out opponents easy, but easier to kill due to bad positioning and wrong timing. Compared to other heroes, Assassin has high damage, but low HP than Tank and Fighter.There are currently 13 Assassins in 4 categories in the game (Assassins, Fighter/Assassins, Mage/Assassins, and Marksman/Assassin).

TRIVIA

• 2 of the assassins have Season Exclusive skins: Alucard, and Fanny.
• Assassins are renowned in the battlefield for their kill streaks. But, some of the most notorious are as follows:
  • Karina - her skills tend to reduce or reset cooldown when having assists or kills..
  • Lancelot - known for dealing significant damage while having very high agility and immunity in some circumstances.
  • Gusion - he has the cooldown resetting ultimate that gives him a superior pursuit advantage while dealing significant AoE and CC to enemies.
  • Lesley - known for having superior critical damage and long-range shot.
  • Fanny - the most agile assassin while having superior pursuit and escape advantage.
  • Alucard - his huge lifesteal sustains himself while dealing damage to enemies and has a pursuit advantage.
  • Lapu-Lapu - although is not as agile as Lancelot, he has a very high damage and significant CC skills.
• Karina, Selena, and Gusion are the only Mage/Assassin Hybrid heroes in the game.
  • The former two are sisters of the same race: Dark elves. (Although the latter doesn't remember being part of it after being thrown into the Shadow Abyss.)
  • Also, the latter's role changed to Assassin/Mage a few days after she's released.
• Natalia and Lancelot are the only assassins whose first skill can cast again when it hits an enemy.
• Lesley is the only Marksman/Assassin Hybrid which gave her a deadly advantage in critical hits and effective kill streak.
  • She, along with Clint are the only heroes who can slay enemy heroes from a distance.
  • She is also one of the most feared heroes in the game.
• Helcurt is the only hero who can blind enemies by casting his ultimate skill.
• Zilong, Alucard, and Lapu-Lapu are the only Fighter/Assassins in the game.
  • Most of them have CC skills.
• Fanny is the hardest hero to handle because of her complexity of skills. With 100% difficulty rating, she is also the most agile hero in the game. Because of this, she is one of the most banned hero in the Draft Pick.
  • Lancelot is also banned a lot in Draft Pick. He is banned almost all the time because of his immunity and mobility.
  • Gusion is also banned a lot because of his high burst damage.
  • Helcurt is banned, too, because of his element of surprise.
• Besides Selena, which Mayhem Mode was ended before she's released, Fanny, Lesley and Gusion are the only Assassin heroes who are banned from Mayhem Mode.

FIGHTER

Fighters are close 
range combatants that possess a mix of offensive and defensive capabilities. While they don't have as much utility as a tank or as much damage as an assassin, a fighter's damage will add up over time to make it a major threat. Each fighter has a unique blend of mobility, damage, disruption and durability. Fighter is an intermediate melee heroes, between Tank durability or Assassin damage, hence make fighter serve as multi purpose combatant, such as Semi Tank, Semi Assassin, Damage dealer, and distractor.
​There are currently 15 Fighters in 4 categories in the game (Fighters, Fighter/Assassins, Tank/Fighters, Fighter/Marksman).
 

TRIVIA

• 3 of the fighters have Season Exclusive skins: Alucard, Hilda, and Alpha.
• Alucard and Ruby are the only fighters with large lifestealing abilities (not given by equipment or emblems) ; this is also hinted in their character:
  • Alucard's name is the reverse name of Dracula. (This shouldn't be confused with Bane's Epic skin)
  • Ruby's weapon is a scythe, which symbolizes death.
• Balmond and Hilda are only Fighter/Tank Hybrid Class heroes in the game. Additionally, they can heal themselves, along with Alpha.
• Jawhead is only the hero can throw any enemy, monster or minion (excluding Turtle and Lord).
• Roger is the only Marksman/Fighter Hybrid Class hero, meaning he can play both defensively and offensively.
  • He also has high lifesteal when he is in wolf form.
• Freya is the only fighter who is a goddess/legend.
• Sun is the only fighter who can summon clones.
• Bane is the only fighter, as well as the only hero in general, whose ultimate skill can damage a defensive turret.
• Besides Aldous, which for now only appears in Advanced Server, Chou, Roger, Argus and Martis are the the only fighters who are banned from Mayhem Mode.

MARKSMAN

Marksman is a type of role that has a high attack/damage and critical and distance. This type is commonly referred to as carry/ADC [Attack Damage Carry]. Marksman plays an important role in the game by defeating enemies from a distance. When using this hero, be smart to keep the distance with the hero of the opponent, because this type of hero usually has low durability and mobility in early game. Marksman heroes always relies on Tanks. When using this type of hero, you should use gears that increase your attack speed, because in addition to kill the enemy, Marksman can also destroy the tower quickly.

TRIVIA

• Only Moskov has a Season Exclusive skin among this class of heroes.

• LEsley is the only Marksman/Assassin Hybrid hero in the game.
• • She is feared by many players for her superior critical hits.
  • She is also the only hero who can slay enemy heroes from a distance.
• Irithel is the only Marksman, and the only hero in general, who can move and attack at the same time.
• Yi Sun-Shin is the only hero that can chage the Base's model .
  • The new model has two turtle ships on its side, although he can only ride one of them.
• Miya is the only Marksman who can go invisible, by using her ultimate skill.
  • Lesley can also go semi-invisible, but she can be detected by distortions in the field.
• Moskov and Clint are the only Marksmen whose passive let their basic attack penetrate through targets.
  • The former is for the whole game while the latter is only after he use a skill.
• Layla has the lowest durability of any hero but has the longest basic attack range in the game, enough to destroy a defensive tower outside it's range.
• Roger, Lesley and Hanabi are the only Marksmen who are banned from Mayhem Mode.
  • Claude doesn't count since Mayhem Mode was ended before he's released.
• Bruno is the only hero who never use hands in any attack.
  • He is also the only hero with sport-related mode of attacking.
  • He is also the only mechanical marksman in the game, having mechanical legs, although his other skins are human.
   
• Marksman is the only cathegory of heroes that exclusively features Human or Humanoid heroes (such as Elves), with the only possible exceptions being Karrie, having non-human legs for being a Yasson, and Roger in his wolf form.   
• • Claude seems to be inspired from Aladdin, they are both thieves and having a monkey by their side.
  • His ultimate is the same as Clint's old ultimate.
  • Both Dexter's attacks and his second skill clone's attack will trigger passive effects from equipment; if you use the Demon Hunter Sword item and have an active clone attacking your same target, every attack will then deal 30% of the target HP as bonus damage in total , since the effects will stack (10%+10%+10%).
    • This is an extremely powerful ability in early game and against tanks, and hopefully will be nerfed.
  • He is featured and continues the story of the Jade Path: Claude's Grand Heist.
    • In this story, Bruno is his rival and it took place in Antoinerei where the latter now worked as its protector.
    • Note: Bruno is originally the protector of Erudito where Lolita worked. Then on an update, his setting and occupation (as the protector) now took place in Antoinerei.
      • It is also here that Diggie lives.
  • His name is a French male name that was originally came from the Latin word claudicatio which means "iimping" or "stuttering".
    • It is also the namesake for Claudius, a Roman emperor.
  Claude's Hero Academy entry placed him as "The thief lord's partner", this makes Dexter the thief lord

MAGE

A magician, (commonly known as Mage in most MOBA games) is a magic damage dealer and an important role in any team composition. Their strengths are in their abilities and not usually their basic attacks. They, however, tend to be squishy and are a priority target in team fights due to their burst damage and crowd control abilities. 
There are currently 17 Mages in 3 categories in the game (Mages, Mage/Assassins, Mage/Support).

• Only Nana, a Mage/Support hero, has a Season Exclusive skin.
• Mages have the most number of heroes, with 17 heroes of 3 categories (namely Mages, Mage/Assassins, and the only Mage/Support).
• Karina, Selena, and Gusion are the only Mage/Assassin Hybrid heroes in the game.
  • They are also the only melee mages in the game.
  • The second is the only one who can transform in early game and can also change her mode of attacking.
• Zhask have more than 3 abilities.
• Cyclops' S.A.B.E.R. Squad skin and Gord's Legendary skin are the only mechanical mage heroes in the game.
• Nana is the only Mage/Support Hybrid in the game.
• Chang'e is the only Mage who is a goddess.
•  Valir has a brother, Vale.
  • Valir is an apprentice of Gord.
    • Vale is rarely the apprentice of him.
• Pharsa was temporarily banned from Brawl games because she gave an unfair advantage to her team with her ultimate skill.
  • Now, her ultimate skill's CD is increased from 8 to 30 seconds for the specific game mode only.
    • Because of this, this is the only skill modified exclusively for a single game mode.
• Kagura, Gusion and Chang'e are the only Mage heroes who are banned from Mayhem Mode.
  • Selena, Vale don't count, since Mayhem Mode was ended before Selena was released in the original server.

Johnson can also be a Mage for the fact that he equips a common magic emblem on the emblems page. 

 
SUPPORT

The support role is to aid and help protect your allies in any situation. Your role is is to shield or heal them, to tanking some damage or sacrificing yourself to keep others alive. You are often giving up the glorious kills in the game to support others, but in the end its usually the support to secure the true MVP award. Support heroes usually lane with the marksman in top lane or at mid lane in order to be able to travel quickly where they are needed.

There are currently 8 supports in 3 categories in the game (Supports, Tank/Supports, Mage/Support).

TRIVIA

• This has the least heroes with eight heroes in three categories (namely Supports, Tank/Supports, and the only Mage/Support in the game).
• Lolita, Minotaur, and Kaja are the only Tank/Support heroes in the game.
  • Lolita and Kaja can give an ally a shield while Minotaur can heal himself and nearby allied heroes.
  • Kaja's weapon is a whiplash while others have hammer in the trio.
• Rafaela, Estes, Diggie, and Angela are only true Support heroes in the game.
• Two of the supports have Season Exclusive skins: Nana and Minotaur.
• Nana is the only Support hero that doesn't give an ally a shield or heal them. Instead, she only gives them bonus gold. She is also the only Mage/Support hero in the game although a lot of the Support heroes are magic based.
• Angela is the only hero who can possess an allied hero even though he/she is far away. When she possess Johnson in vehicle form with a passenger, he now has two passengers. She is also the only mechanical Support in the game.
• Kaja is the only Support hero who is banned from Mayhem Mode.
